Biscuits

2 c flour

4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cream of tarter

2 tsp sugar

1/2 c shortening

2/3 c milk

Sift all dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening with pastry cutter. Make a well in the center and add milk. Stir quickly with a fork. Roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter or an inverted glass, dipped in flour. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 425° for 12-15 minutes.
