Apple Crisp
6-8 sliced tart apples (Granny Smith/Pippin)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar (1/2 cup with apples, 1/2 cup on top)
1/3 cup butter or margarine
Layer apple slices in buttered 7 x 11 baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, salt and water. Sprinkle 1/2 c sugar over apples. Crumble remaining ingredients together. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Bake uncovered at 375° F for approximately 40 minutes, until apples are tender and top is golden brown.
