Cheddar Chowder
2 cups boiling water
2 cups chopped potatoes
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup sliced celery
1/4 cup chopped onions
1-1/2 tsp salt
SAUCE:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 cup diced ham or cooked sausage links
Combine water, vegetables and salt. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. DO NOT DRAIN. Make cheese sauce. Combine vegetables and cheese sauce. Add Ham last. Heat, but DO NOT BOIL.
