Stew

cubed round steak

1/4 c chopped onion

2 tbsp oil

2 beef bouillon cubes

1 quart of water

Add 3-4 carrots, sliced

5-6 potatoes, peeled and cubed

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 c cornstarch

Brown cubed round steak and onion in oil. Sprinkle well with salt and pepper. Add bouillon cubes and 1 quart of water. Cover. Simmer 2 hours, add more water to keep meat covered. Add carrots potatoes and salt. Cook 20-25 mins longer. Mix 1/4 c cornstarch with 1/2 c water. Pour into stew mixture, stirring until thickened.
